Really Learning Javascript
Thursday, January 26, 2006You may shake your head, but I love the Javascript language. I really enjoy using it because it's so pliable. But believe me, until you have read the articles, tutorials and code of the following people you don't really know Javascript. Well, that might not be true, but anyway, the following are a list of the people who have taught me the most about Javascript the language. This is my list of 'Javascript Heros', in no particular order.
- Douglas Crockford - writer of the famous article " Javascript: The World's Most Misunderstood Programming Language"
- Alex Russell - Originally from netWindows, now Dojo
- Daniel Pupius - from Thirteenth Parallel - a DHTML pioneer
- Aaron Boodman - a DHTML pioneer
- Emil and Erik from WebFX - 2 other DHTML pioneers
These are the programmers who have been doing the hard yards, working for years with the language. If you really want to learn Javascript, read as much as you can from these guys. Do you know any other inspirational Javascript programmers?
