# I highly recommend these videos from Douglas Crockform at Yahoo! . I learnt three new things:
- CSS should appear at the top of the head while javascript should appear as close to the bottom of the body as possible
- type="text/javascript" on script tags is pointless and is actually wrong anyway
- some parts of the W3C DOM clearly show the contempt some developers feel for javascript
# Why does technology like GWT annoy me? I think it's because the web UI layer is so portable by nature and for no good reason that I can comprehend it locks the web UI to the backend, destroying a lot of that portability.
# Something that is often asked by the staff at work: "I just deleted something I need off the network, is there a recycle bin somewhere?". Sounds like a perfectly reasonable question to me! Why isn't working with windows file shares the same as files on your windows workstation?
